Expectations relating to authority, supervision, communication, and decision-making.
How individuals view accountability, teamwork, initiative, achievement, and relationships.
The role of mentorship, networks, friendships, belonging, and relationship- building in success.
Confidence, communication styles, and the ability to navigate workplace interactions effectively.
Effective collaboration begins with understanding the cultural influences on behaviour and communication.
Translating awareness into practical actions that improve communication, leadership, and performance.
While awareness is an important starting point, sustainable organizational change requires more than awareness alone. We go beyond traditional diversity, equity, and inclusion training to help individuals and organizations develop practical intercultural intelligence, decoding the cultural values, assumptions, expectations, and communication patterns that often contribute to misunderstanding, conflict, disengagement, and missed opportunities.
Developed by Brian Rochat through award-winning graduate research, it is a practical framework for understanding how culture influences workplace behaviour, communication, learning, leadership, employee integration, and organizational performance. It examines four interconnected dimensions: power distance, individualism and collectivism, social supports and informal learning, and communication and self-efficacy.
Yes. We do not deliver generic off-the-shelf diversity or cultural awareness training. Our process begins with an intercultural competency review and learning needs assessment, so learning experiences are relevant, practical, and aligned with your desired organizational outcomes. Workshops may be delivered as lunch-and-learn sessions, half-day workshops, full-day programs, or multi-session learning series.
It is an immersive experiential learning experience that places participants in an unfamiliar cultural environment where the usual rules, assumptions, communication styles, and social norms no longer apply. Rather than simply learning about culture, participants experience the powerful influence culture has on how people perceive, interpret, and respond, followed by a structured debrief and facilitated reflection.
We work with leaders, managers, supervisors, and HR professionals, as well as newcomers to Canada, internationally educated professionals, employees in culturally diverse teams, educators, and organizations supporting workforce integration. Our coaching and learning are designed for anyone navigating cultural difference in the workplace, whether they are leading diverse teams or transitioning into a new work environment themselves.
Not necessarily. In many cases, what appears to be a performance issue is actually an intercultural challenge requiring understanding, adaptation, and support rather than correction. Coaching helps individuals develop the awareness, communication skills, and confidence to succeed, and helps organizations recognize the difference between a genuine performance concern and a culturally influenced one.
Our work helps organizations improve communication, strengthen inclusion, and turn diversity into measurable outcomes across engagement, retention, advancement, and performance. We help people move beyond simply recognizing cultural differences to understanding them, applying practical strategies, and leveraging diversity to improve organizational outcomes.
We offer flexible delivery to suit your team, including in-person sessions, virtual workshops, and blended formats. Coaching, workshops, and simulations can be arranged to fit your schedule, location, and learning goals.
